Terms of use
The short version: Blad is a reader for PDF files you already have. The files are yours and so is the responsibility for them. You can try the app for free and then buy it once.

1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and HANSEN AI, Norway, which makes Blad (“we”). By using Blad you accept them. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA) also applies to the app. If the two say different things about the same matter, Apple's agreement applies to that matter.
2. What Blad is
Blad is an app for Apple TV that shows PDF files from storage you connect yourself: shared folders on your home network, cloud storage services, or files you send to the Apple TV. Blad contains no magazines, has no store or catalogue, and gives you no access to content you do not already have.
3. Your files, your responsibility
You are responsible for the files you open in Blad and for having the right to read them. Use Blad only with files you own or are otherwise allowed to use, and do not use it to infringe anyone's copyright. Blad cannot open copy-protected (DRM) files, and you may not use it to get around such protection.
4. Free trial and purchase
- You can open five different magazines for free. Magazines you have already opened stay readable.
- To open more, you buy Blad once, as an in-app purchase. It is not a subscription. The price is shown in the app before you buy.
- The purchase is made through Apple and belongs to your Apple Account. If you reinstall the app or change Apple TV, use “Restore purchase” in the app.
- Payment and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. To ask for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot see or refund payments ourselves.
5. Other companies' services
If you connect OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive or another storage service, your use of that service is governed by its own terms and privacy policy. We do not run those services and are not responsible for them. They can change or stop working with Blad without it being under our control, and a storage option may then be changed or removed from the app.
6. Privacy
How Blad handles data is described in the privacy policy.
7. The app as it is
We work to make Blad good and reliable, but we cannot promise that it is free of faults, that it opens every PDF, or that every feature works on every Apple TV model and tvOS version. Some features require a newer tvOS version; the support page says which. We may change, add or remove features in updates.
Blad is a reader, not a backup. Files you download or upload to the Apple TV are kept in a cache that tvOS can clear. Keep your originals somewhere else.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss or consequential damage, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Blad, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you may bring a case before the courts there. Please write to us first; most things can be sorted out by email.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the app gets new features. The current version is always on this page, with the date at the top. If a change matters for what you have bought, we will say so in the app or on this website. Continuing to use Blad after a change means you accept the new terms.
